The chair doesn't define Who I am or Who I can be

Updated: Jan 15, 2021

Asad has slowly found lost hope and looks forward to joining his friends at Marghzar every day.

Asad Iqbal is only 12 years old but he has already seen some of the toughest time in life. He has Muscular Dystrophy because of which he gradually lost movement in his legs his legs and now his legs are completely immobile His condition caused weakness in all limbs therefore, he is not able to grip a pencil as well. The coming years will not become easier for him as a slow learner. He firmly believes that at being in a wheelchair may be a discomfort but it doesn’t define who he is and doesn’t limit who he can be in the future. Yet, he has an elder sister who is his biggest supporter and loves him dearly especially, since their mother's passing.

However, Asad's hope and confidence did not manifest itself overnight. When his family was desperately in need of support for their son, Marghzar Welfare Society was able to extend a helping hand on behalf of our generous donors. Asad has slowly found lost hope and looks forward to joining his friends at Marghzar every day.
